The Beginner Robotics Camp is designed for students with little or no experience in robotics. The students will be taught how to build and program an autonomous LEGO robot using the LEGO's EV3 platform. All equipment will be provided. Students will build a basic robot and program it to execute basic routines and using light and touch sensors. Students who are signed up for or have completed the beginner's camp may sign up for the advanced camp.
The Advanced Camp is designed for students with experience building and programming LEGO robots. We teach students how to design, build, and program an autonomous LEGO robot using LEGO's EV3 platform. Students will work in teams of 2-3 to create a robot which can execute a series of complex tasks. We will provide all the equipment needed. At the end of the summer session, the students compete with their robots and we will present to the audience a student-created video of the summer session. Trophies and recognition plaques will be awarded at the end of the session, and the students will receive a DVD of the summer session. The students that participate in the summer program are eligible to tryout for the competitive FLL team in the fall.
